Drinking from a fire hose

Sandi had a CT scan today. The contrast media they used was different than last time, and while it still was pretty nasty, it wasn't as hard on her stomach as the last time.

She also met with her endocrinologist to work out how to manage blood sugar during chemo. This is daunting, but that assure us it will become routine.

Tomorrow afternoon we go to see a different oncologist, this time at OHSU, for a second opinion and consult about some medical trials going on there.

Then, chemo starts Wednesday. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully the anticipation is worse than the experience.

We're currently consuming information faster than we can process it. As always, I will try to keep this blog updated as quickly as I can.

Tonight, about 1:20am, Sandi breathed her last while I held her hand.
