All done for now

Sandi completed her two weeks of radiation last Friday. Last weekend was pretty rough and the side effects are still hitting her pretty hard, though she is feeling a little better day by day. We expect that after a week or so, the improvement should be faster and full recovery from the side effects in maybe 3 weeks. In the meantime, she's grinding it out.

There is not a follow-up blood test or CT scan until the end of October. But we believe the treatment was effective. It takes several (many?) weeks before it's full benefit is realized, so that's something to look forward to. I am hopeful that she will get to resume her "break" and things will remain calm. As always, one day at a time.

Sharpies and Tattoos

Sandi completed day 1 of 10 of radiation treatment today. Last week, when they did investigatory setup CT scan, she got a couple very tiny (pinpoint) tattoos to help them aim the radiation correctly.

It's been a while. Some news...

Well, it's been a really long time since I've posted anything here. That's because Sandi has been doing pretty well, so she's been on a an extended break from chemo or other heavyweight treatment sin
