A new development

The chemotherapy has inflamed the tumor so it is squishing her duodenum (the first part of the small intestine immediately beyond the stomach.) This creates a blockage not letting food come from the stomach. They have hospitalized her and are going to empty her stomach, only giving her fluids and nutrition through an IV. She will be hospitalized for 2 days to a week, possibly longer.

Hopefully this will resolve on its own, otherwise she will have surgery of some sort.

Sandi completed day 1 of 10 of radiation treatment today. Last week, when they did investigatory setup CT scan, she got a couple very tiny (pinpoint) tattoos to help them aim the radiation correctly.
